GoSprout Technical Requirements

GoSprout is a secure, cloud-based platform designed to run without complex local installations.

To ensure the best experience for all users — administrators, employers, educators, and learners — please review the following requirements.


1. Supported Devices & Operating Systems

  • Desktop & Laptop Computers

    • Windows 10 or later

    • macOS 11 (Big Sur) or later

  • Mobile Devices (via GoSprout App)

    • iOS 15 or later (iPhone & iPad)

    • Android 10 or later (phones & tablets)


2. Browser Requirements

For the best experience, use the latest version of one of these supported browsers:

  • Google Chrome (recommended)

  • Microsoft Edge

  • Mozilla Firefox

  • Safari (macOS & iOS)

Tip: Enable JavaScript and cookies for full functionality. Disable browser extensions that block scripts or cookies, as they may interfere with GoSprout features.


3. Internet Connectivity

  • Minimum: 5 Mbps download / 2 Mbps upload

  • Recommended: 15 Mbps+ download for real-time video, file uploads, and dashboard analytics

  • Wired connections are preferred for administrative functions; stable Wi-Fi is fine for apprentices and mentors in the field.


4. Integration & API Support

  • Built-in Integrations (optional but recommended):

    • Learning Management Systems (LMS) — e.g., Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard

    • Payroll Systems — e.g., ADP, Paychex

    • CRMs — e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot

  • API Access: Available for enterprise accounts to connect GoSprout with existing HR, ERP, or training systems.

  • Single Sign-On (SSO): Supports SAML 2.0 and OAuth2 for Microsoft Azure AD, Google Workspace, and Okta.


5. File & Media Support

  • File uploads accepted: PDF, DOCX, XLSX, CSV, MP4, JPG, PNG

  • Maximum file size: 25 MB per file (larger uploads available upon request)


6. Security & Compliance

  • SOC 2 Type II audited

  • Data encryption: AES-256 in storage, TLS 1.2+ in transit

7. Mobile App Access

  • Available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store

  • Supports offline entry for OJT hours and competency checklists, which sync when reconnected to the internet 


8. Support & Maintenance

  • Customer Support: Email, chat, and phone during business hours (M–F) & various support tiers available 

  • System Maintenance: Regular updates are performed outside of peak usage hours; users are notified in advance

  • Third-Party Audits: Annual security and compliance audits to ensure data safety
